Hop Scotch Queen

Beautiful day to go out and do things today.  We went on a bicycle ride for the first time this year.  Akemi sat in the buggy because she hasn't gotten the hang of her bicycle without training wheels yet.  We had a little picnic by the marina.  Very nice.

Later in the afternoon we played some hop scotch in the driveway.  Whenever we play, I think that I should video tape it because it would be a perfect slice of life to look back upon when she's older. How she names and talks to her rock (today it was Ikey).  How she likes to mark the misses with an X.  And how she barely navigates the grid with the seriousness and awkwardness unique to her age.

Usually she cheats and kicks her rock to the appropriate number, but today I told her that was not allowed.  I gave her three tosses to my one.  She ended up winning fair and square!
