Past Bloom

A couple of weekends ago the magnolias were in full bloom so I took some pictures.  Now they are almost all down.

Last weekend Akemi entered a Japanese speech contest at her school.  She was so nervous going into the contest, but her teacher reassured her.  After all was said and done, she ended up in third place!

Every month Nina's school celebrates a different character trait and then gives awards to students who best exhibit the trait.  This month the trait was honestly and Nina won it!
