We can now see the tops of two teeth peeking out from Akemi's lower jaw. If I get a chance, I'll take a picture.

Zippers

On Sunday we went to visit my parents' new apartment. Akemi was showing her dexterity in using a spoon.

The other day I discovered by accident her fascination with zippers. I was holding her towards me and to my dismay, instead of looking at me, she kept playing with the zipper on my sweater. She was seriously engaged with figuring out how it worked. That's my new trick with her now. When she gets fussy I put on a sweater with a zipper and she's distracted for several minutes.

Words?

Silvina claims that Akemi can talk. Her "proof" is that the other day she was looking at me and trying to call my attention with "dadeedadeedadee". She also says that she calls her with "mamaamaama". I don't know if Akemi is that clever to start talking, but I do know that she has a smart haircut!

Pro Job!

I gave Akemi a hair cut today. Pretty tricky because she kept moving all over the place. I thought I did a pretty good job!
